IBR Q2 2018 Portfolio Update

“The more things change, the more things stay the same.” – Jean Baptiste Alphonse Karr (1849)

For the first time in recorded history, the number of job openings in the U.S. is higher than the number of people looking for a job. As we mentioned in our Q1 update, this U.S.-led economic boom has been very remarkable. But for how long will this continue?

Smart arguments can be made for both the bull and bear case scenarios in the near term.

Although we believe we are late-stage of this boom cycle, we still see plenty of upside in that “dumb money” has yet to partake in a significant way. Continue to sell into strength as the market moves higher toward our Dow 30,000 target. Always smart to have some cash on the sideline.

IBR Portfolio

ePlay Digital ($EPY) Much to do about nothing – so far. After a very nice 5x return on the first go around, we still think they will deliver some very nifty AR in late 2018 that will ignite the investor community again taking the shares from a current $0.10 to at least $0.50.

BacTech Environmental ($BCCEF). Fresh off the heels of a very good press release, CEO Ross Orr and his team continue to deliver. The company maintains it will be cash flow positive by 2019. The share price will catch up with all the good news at some point soon. At $ 0.035 it’s a buy till the cows come home. Very limited downside and very big upside. We remain extremely bullish.

On4 Communications ($ONCI). We continue to like the jockey in this race. CEO Steve Berman has done a masterful job to date. On4 is on track to do $4M in revs for the year.

UMeWorld Limited ($UMEWF).We are very impressed with CEO Michael Lee and his team. Their 1-year road map has some most interesting twists and turns that will no doubt shake up the online education sector. IBR’s full report is coming out in mid July. At $0.12 start nibbling away (this sector is on fire!).

Broadway Gold ($BDWYF). We like gold and at some point soon we expect it to breakout taking the junior exploration sector along for the ride. The group is incredibly under-owned. Broadway has a very talented and proven team led by newly elected CEO Thomas Smeenkand and a property with grades that are off the charts. If you don’t have any junior golds in your portfolio, start with Broadway at $0.10.

Bitcoin, Ether et al. Seems the excitement level is dwindling in the space and this is a good thing. There was just far too much hype. Since our Q1 report Bitcoin ($6,736)  and Ether ($491) are trading around the same price. Our position remains the same: Stay away for now.

Player’s Network ($PNTV). With the latest grow acquisition in California, Player’s is on target to do $15M for 2019. The stock is a buy in around this $.045+ range. We still think a target of $.12-$.15 for year-end 2018 is doable.

Snap Inc ($SNAP). The company is due to report Aug 08 +/-. The earnings (losses) will be disappointing. We can’t see any reason whatsoever why one would want to be long. We continue to love our short position. Look to cover at $5.00.

Dow Jones Index ($DJI). 30,000 here we come by year-end setting the stage for a final blow off.

Marksmen Energy ($MAH). Some bad weather and equipment failures really put the Marksmen exploration team behind schedule. Looks like all is back on track and the beaten up share price will begin a deserved upward move. At $0.12 it’s a steal.

Yippy, Inc ($YIPI). A lack of news from the company is definitely depressing the share price and shareholders alike. Such a great story to share. We like it as much today as we did 6 months go. Take advantage of the pullback and strap some on.

Dthera Sciences ($DTHR). We reiterate: Great team, great product.

Helios and Matheson ($HMNY). We expected some craziness and we are getting it. Be nimble!

Anvia Holdings ($ANVV). New to our portfolio. We like it and will be telling you much more in our upcoming full report.

Afterpay (ASX: $APT) Stock continues to show upward momemtum nearing $10 AUD. Really like this one.

MAX Sound Corp ($MAXD). Also new to our IBR portfolio, MAXD is a sub penny with a potential 20-30x return. Our full report will be out in the coming days.

Annavex Life Sciences ($AVXL) So far so good. The shares have had a nice run from $2.15 to $3.50. We maintain a target of $8.00 by year-end.

Looking forward to a very profitable Q3 for everybody!

The IBR Team: David, Jeff and Dr. Anna
